KB Home offers new designs

KB Home is celebrating the grand opening of two new model homes and the introduction of new floor plans at its Silver Hills neighborhood in Mountain's Edge today and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The home designs that will be introduced are from The Open Series, KB Home's energy-efficient homes.

The one- and two-story single-family homes offered at Silver Hills are Energy Star qualified and priced from the $140,000s.

Jim Widner, regional president of KB Home, asks shoppers, "Why buy a used or bank-owned home when you can own a new home at Silver Hills for about the same price?"

During the grand opening celebration weekend, home shoppers can also enter to win a "staycation" package including accommodations at a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.

"We are excited to bring KB Home's popular home designs from The Open Series to Mountain's Edge and are currently the only builder offering single-story homes for under $200,000 in this master-plan(ed) community," Widner said.

"The combination of affordability, flexibility and energy efficiency is exactly what today's homebuyers are looking for in a new home. And they are thrilled to discover that they can afford to build a brand new home just the way they want it."

Homebuyers at KB Home's Silver Hills have their choice of six floor plans from The Open Series, ranging from 1,256 to 2,602 square feet. The one- and two-story home designs include three to five bedrooms, two to three baths and two-car garages.

The Open Series homes available at Silver Hills offer open floor plans, multi-use spaces and storage areas. Select plans at Silver Hills include flex spaces that can be used as dens, home offices, play rooms or formal dining rooms. Other plans include a loft space on the second floor that can be converted into an additional bedroom.

All of The Open Series homes are built to order, enabling buyers to choose from a variety of brand-name design options at the KB Home Studio.

According to Widner, all new homes built at Silver Hills are Energy Star-qualified, meaning they have been engineered to heat and cool efficiently, use less energy and provide substantial savings.

To visit the neighborhood at 10004 Natchez Trace St., take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, south, exit right on Durango Road heading south about five miles. Turn right on Mountain's Edge Parkway to Quarterhorse Lane and right on Tonkawa Avenue to the model homes.
