Goodman to open 27th LV Perspective

The 27th edition of Las Vegas Perspective, an annual market profile of Southern Nevada, has completed publication and will be presented 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Orleans Arena, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.

General admission is $75. Gold Circle admission, which includes club-level seating, an open bar and hors d'oeuvres, is $125.

All attendees will receive a copy of Las Vegas Perspective, a 120-page book with information on demographics, business and industry, retail, community, real estate and tourism in Southern Nevada. Additional copies are available for $40 at the event.

The book is a primary source of demographic and economic information for Southern Nevada businesses, said Brian Gordon, principal of Las Vegas-based research firm Applied Analysis.

The firm is in its inaugural year of editing and producing Las Vegas Perspective.

"This book covers everything that influences the economy of the fastest-growing major market in the country," Gordon said

Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman will give opening remarks at Las Vegas Perspective.

Nevada Development Authority President and Chief Executive Officer Somer Hollingsworth will discuss economic diversification of Southern Nevada. Jeremy Aguero, founder and principal of Applied Analysis will talk about the numbers and what they mean.

Much of the information in the book is based on research conducted by the Center for Business and Economic Research at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
