City contributes funding to homeowner program

The city of Las Vegas is contributing $100,000 to Home Again, a program that aids homeowners.

Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto announced the partnership Thursday. The money, from the city’s Housing and Urban Development grant funds, will pay for efforts to publicize the state program.

Home Again, started by Masto, helps residents identify state or federal assistance available for their situation. The program offers guidance for households striving to own a home, homeowners seeking changes to loan terms and people at risk of foreclosure. The service is free.

Residents can call the program toll-free at (855) HLP4-NEV, or (855) 457-4638 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday or visit www.HomeAgainNevada.gov.
