Multifamily housing project planned for downtown Las Vegas

The Wolff Co., a Scottsdale, Arizona, real estate acquisition and development company, said it will partner with 901 Fremont LLC, a Downtown Project affiliate, to develop a mixed-use multifamily housing project on 1.3 acres at the intersection of Ninth and Fremont streets in downtown Las Vegas.

In a statement, Wolff Co. said the proposed five-story, podium-style building, dubbed Fremont & 9th, will include 231 units and 15,000 square feet of retail space along Fremont Street. The proposed project will be a block from downtown Container Park and a short walk from the Fremont Street Experience.

The Las Vegas-based Korte Co. will be general contractor. It's to start in the next 30 days.

The project's cost and projected completion date weren't disclosed.
