New restaurant and lounge to open at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Tao Group and Chef Chris Santos will open Beauty & Essex, restaurant and lounge, at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on May 16.

In a statement, the partners said the opening is the second location for Beauty & Essex, which originated in 2010 in New York City.

The 10,000-square-foot restaurant, designed by the Rockwell Group, features small, share-a-plate dining. the menu, designed by Santos, a celebrity chef judge on The Food Network series “Chopped,” will include tuna poke wonton tacos, Thai-style crispy shrimp and tomato tartare.

The restaurant will feature 230 seats for dining, and 90 more seats in the bar and lounge.

Santos and Tao Group plan to open another Beauty & Essex in Los Angeles later this year.
