Raiders stadium project focus of Vegas Nation program — VIDEO

Updated September 5, 2017 - 8:26 pm

The Clark County Commission will undertake a high-impact project review and consider a series of development standard waivers for the planned Las Vegas Stadium when it meets Wednesday morning.

Stadium construction news is the subject of the first presentation of the “Vegas Nation Stadium Show.”

The county’s project review will consider the community impact of the $1.9 billion, 65,000-seat stadium on neighborhood traffic circulation, parking, utilities, drainage and emergency services.

County staff has recommended approval of the review and the commission is expected to require that the Oakland Raiders, the NFL team building the stadium and relocating to Las Vegas, enter a development agreement with the county that would require the team to provide needed services and infrastructure to mitigate the impact of the project.

The Raiders and the Las Vegas Stadium Authority look to break ground on the stadium by the end of November and complete it by July 2020.
