Burglar checks out with library cash

CARSON CITY -- Carson City deputies are looking for a burglar who cut through the wall of the city's library and escaped with the contents of a cash donation box.

The Nevada Appeal on Tuesday reported an alarm went off at the library about 9:45 p.m. Saturday.

A deputy investigating found a hole in the drywall and an empty donation box, a change box and a cash drawer nearby.

Deputies found that a man had visited a nearby grocery store shortly after the burglary and had cashed in coins at a Coinstar machine.
