Erik Scott's family has dismissed Costco Wholesale Corp. as a defendant in its federal lawsuit stemming from Scott's police shooting death outside the Summerlin store.
Also, Shai Lierley, the store's loss-prevention supervisor, has been dismissed as a defendant, according to federal court papers.
The civil rights case moves forward with the Las Vegas police department, Sheriff Doug Gillespie and the three officers who shot the 38-year-old Scott as the chief defendants.
A coroner's inquest ruled the actions of the officers were justified in the July 10 confrontation with the armed Scott.
