Last defendant in Minxx strip club shooting gets probation

The final defendant in the 2007 Minxx strip club shooting during NBA All-Star weekend, which ensnared professional football player Adam "Pacman" Jones, was sentenced to a year of probation last week.

Robert Reid also was ordered to stay out of trouble, perform 200 hours of community service and take anger management counseling.

Authorities said the Minxx strip club fracas, which occurred in February 2007, was triggered by Jones. The current Cincinnati Bengal showered strippers with hundreds of dollar bills as they danced. The act, known as "making it rain," was intended as a visual effect. The fight erupted when strippers began picking up the cash.

Jones and his entourage were kicked out of the club, and the shooting occurred minutes later.

Arvin Kenti Edwards, 32, is serving four to 10 years in prison for attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon.

Three people were wounded, including bouncer Tommy Urbanski, who was paralyzed from the waist down.

Jones and "Big Rob" Reid pleaded no contest in December 2007 to charges of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct in connection with the brawl.

Jones is serving one year of probation. However, Jones' probation could be revoked after he was arrested in Cincinnati last month after a fight in a bar. Jones has pleaded not guilty.
