Man arrested, charged in Durango homicide case

Las Vegas police have arrested a man in connection with Friday’s homicide near South Durango Drive and Sahara Avenue on the west side of the valley.

Marvin Moran, 36, was charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping. Homicide detectives said the killing was domestic-related.

Police responded to the 2600 block of Durango about 6:15 a.m Friday after receiving an anonymous call that a woman was dying in an apartment. Metro found the woman inside unresponsive and she appeared to be severely beaten.

The woman’s identity, as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
