Man critically wounded in convenience store shooting near UNLV

A man was critically injured in a convenience store shooting near the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, campus Sunday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

Lt. Ted Snodgrass said the shooting occurred about 2:50 p.m. at a convenience store at 804 E. Flamingo Road, near Swenson Street.

Snodgrass said the man was shot twice. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Snodgrass said that after the man was shot, the suspect fled in a car to a nearby Siegel Suites.

Snodgrass said police made an arrest in the shooting. He also said the gun used in the shooting might have been found by police.
