North Las Vegas police arrest robbery suspect after car crash

North Las Vegas police arrested a robbery suspect Monday morning after, authorities said, his getaway car crashed into a house.

Anthony Clark, 21, was one of four suspects in the convenience store robbery on the 400 block of Centennial Road, near Commerce Street.

One of the robbers hit the clerk with a gun and took money from the register about 3 a.m. The robbers escaped in a car, which was spotted a short time later by patrol officers, police said.

The officers chased the car to the area of Lone Mountain Road and Bruce Street, where the car crashed into an empty house, police said.

Everyone in the car ran after the crash. Clark was the only one caught. He was booked at the Las Vegas Detention Center on a charge of robbery with a deadly weapon.

Anyone with information on the case can call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 633-9111 or leave anonymous tips with Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.

Tips leading to an arrest or an indictment called into Crime Stoppers might result in a cash reward.
