North Las Vegas police seek suspect in fatal domestic violence stabbing

North Las Vegas police have obtained an arrest warrant for 46-year-old Alberto Gutierrez in connection with the fatal stabbing of his wife last weekend.
Gutierrez is wanted for one count of murder with a deadly weapon and four counts of child abuse with substantial mental anguish.
Police found Rosaura Banuet, 44, suffering from multiple stab wounds after being called about 11 a.m. Saturday to a house in the 5100 block of Blue Rose Street, near Washburn and Losee roads. Saturday . The woman was taken to University Medical Center and later died.
Police said their preliminary investigation indicates that Gutierrez and his wife were in a heated argument before she was stabbed multiple times with a knife. Gutierrez fled the scene before officers arrived.
Four juveniles, ranging in age from 2 to 15 years, were at home when the stabbing happened.
Gutierrez is also known as Alberto Gutierrez-Villalobos. He has had prior encounters with North Las Vegas for public nuisance, domestic battery and numerous traffic violations.
He was arrested for domestic battery involving Banuet in 2007, a charge that was later amended to disturbing the peace.
Gutierrez has several tattoos including: two on his chest, "BIBI 100%" and "CACHANILLA," one on his right arm of a naked woman with a snake, and one on his left arm of a dragon with Chinese writing.
He is 6 feet 1 inches tall, weighs about 225 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
