On May 20, police responded to a robbery call at 235 Eastern Ave., near U.S. Highway 95. They say this is part of a string of robberies in the area.

The man, described by police as 25 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and around 300 pounds, pulled out a knife and demanded money from a store employee during one of the robberies, police said. In two of the robberies, the man was wearing a backward baseball cap.
