Teen dies in hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning

A 17-year-old female pedestrian died after being struck in a hit-and-run accident in the east valley early Sunday morning, according to Las Vegas police.

Police believe the girl was hit by a vehicle traveling west on East Charleston Boulevard near Fogg Street just after midnight. She was found by other drivers in the center travel lane.

There are no descriptions of the driver or vehicle. Anyone with information regarding the incident should call police at 702-828-3786 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

This is the 26th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas police jurisdiction this year.
