Two generators stolen from Opportunity Village

Two generators worth $2,500 were stolen from Opportunity Village either Thursday night or Friday.

Marty Wood, director of marketing, said Friday evening that the nonprofit is reviewing camera footage acquired from the nearby College of Southern Nevada and filling out a police report.

Wood said the thieves pulled up to the front entrance and used bolt cutters to get inside.

"It's a terrible thing that people are stealing from a not-for-profit organization," Wood said.

This is the second theft of the season for Opportunity Village. In October, holiday items were stolen at a garage sale.
