Vince Neil pleads not guilty to charges in incident with ex-girlfriend

Rocker Vince Neil, through his defense attorneys, pleaded not guilty Monday to misdemeanor charges related to a domestic violence incident involving his ex-girlfriend.

Neil, 50, faces a charge of domestic battery and disorderly conduct and is accused of poking former local television entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs at the Las Vegas Hilton in March.

Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Pro Tem Linda Marquis also issued a no contact order for both Neil and Jacobs.

A bench trial in Las Vegas Justice Court was set for Aug. 8.

Jacobs, 45, was with several friends who witnessed the Motley Crue frontman's obscenity-laced tirade on Jacobs and the poking, which reportedly left a bruise.

Neil and Jacobs split in March after a seven-month relationship. At the time, Jacobs issued a statement that the breakup was because of "the decisions Vince continues to make."

Neil, who has said publicly that he has given up alcohol and drugs but has been seen partying around town, last week completed the sentence requirements for a June DUI conviction that included a 10-day stint in the county jail.
