2 arrested in fatal Sunday morning shooting in east Las Vegas

A man was killed in a drive-by shooting Sunday morning in the eastern Las Vegas Valley, police said.

Officers responded to reports of the shooting about 1:20 a.m. at 3355 Cape Cod Drive, near Desert Inn Road and Nellis Boulevard, Metropolitan Police Department dispatch records show.

The Clark County coroner’s office on Wednesday indentified the victim as Angel C. Fabre, 42, of Las Vegas.

He died of multiple gunshot wounds to the right leg, the coroner’s office said.

Metro has made two arrests in the homicide: 40-year-old Jimmy Roper and 41-year-old Larry Rinker. Both men are being held at Clark County Detention Center without bail on open murder and battery charges.
