67-year-old jailed after fatal shooting in southwest Las Vegas

A suspect has been identified after a fatal shooting inside a mobile home park in southwestern Las Vegas Sunday morning.

Peter Paul Caris, 67, was booked at 10 a.m. Sunday into Clark County Detention Center on an open murder with an enhanced deadly weapon charge.

Officers with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting happened about 9:30 a.m. near Harmon Avenue and Decatur Boulevard. They said a man was found in the street with a gunshot wound and was declared dead at the scene.

Man shoots would-be robber dead in Henderson, police say

A man who “feared for his life” shot and killed a would-be robber who tried to take his cell phone and wallet at gunpoint early Saturday, Henderson police said.
