Clark County coroner identifies man killed in drive-by shooting

The Clark County coroner on Sunday identified the man who died after a drive-by shooting in downtown Las Vegas on July 23.

Felipe George, 41, was found by police on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police responded to the report of a shooting just before 11 p.m., in the 1600 block of Palm Street. George was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Investigators said George was walking on the sidewalk when he was approached by a light-colored four-door sedan. Someone inside the car fired several shots at him before speeding away on Olive Street.
