Henderson woman arrested on murder charge in mother’s death

Updated May 30, 2017 - 7:11 pm

A 26-year-old Henderson woman was charged with murder in connection with the death of her 65-year-old mother Tuesday afternoon.

The daughter, Carly Kalbfleisch, is being held at the Henderson Detention Center without bail.

Police said Kalbfleisch called 911 about 12:20 p.m. to report a domestic violence incident involving her mother at a home on the 3700 block of Via Gaetano Street, near Cactus Avenue and Bermuda Road.

Officers found the mother dead inside with numerous, unspecified injuries, police said. It was unclear whether anyone else was home or whether the daughter was injured.

Kalbfleisch was arrested without incident.

Court records show Kalbfleisch does not have a local criminal history. She identifies herself as an aspiring actor and model, according to a profile page on exploretalent.com, a resource for actors, models and musicians.

Anyone with information on the case may call Henderson police at 702-267-4750 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
