Homicide detectives investigating body of man found in east valley

Homicide detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the death of a man found dead in the east valley Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called about 2:20 p.m. to the body of a man found near the main entryway of Playa Vista Apartments at 3700 E. Bonanza Road, near Pecos Road, Metro Lt. Corey Moon said.

Homicide detectives are leading the investigation because the circumstances of the man’s death were unknown and deemed suspicious.

It was unclear how long the man had been dead before he was found.

The Clark County coroner’s office will determine how the man died and name him once his family has been notified.
