Lake Havasu City woman arrested after boyfriend found dead

A Lake Havasu City woman was arrested Tuesday morning after her boyfriend was found shot to death.

Lake Havasu police said 61-year-old Cheryl Molitor called 911 at 2:18 a.m., saying that she may have shot her boyfriend.

Lake Havasu police Sgt. Kirk Cesena said arriving officers found 65-year-old Kenneth Nissen dead of an apparent gunshot wound in his residence in the 1400 block of McCulloch Boulevard.

Cesena said the long-term couple had been drinking and arguing before the shooting.
