Las Vegas shooting victim: Thomas Day Jr., Corona, California

Updated October 3, 2017 - 9:11 pm

A California resident who worked in the construction industry is among those killed in the attack on the Route 91 Harvest country music festival.

Construction estimator Thomas Day Jr. was attending the festival Sunday with his father and four daughters when he was fatally shot, said Bruce Abbey, vice president of Portrait Construction. Day, 54, was a lifelong resident of the city of Corona.

Abbey said Tuesday described Day as a “great father” who enjoyed country music and was an avid sports fan. He rooted for the Los Angeles Angels and Pittsburgh Steelers.

“He would always stand up for you,” Abbey said. “He’ll be missed.”
