Man dies after morning shooting in North Las Vegas

A man has died after an early-morning shooting on Saturday in North Las Vegas.

About 12:40 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 2700 block of Castle Street near North Commerce Street and West Carey Avenue. Arriving officers found a 19-year-old man in the street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the man dead on the scene.

The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived and currently there is no one in custody. This shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence, police said.

The Clark County coroner will release the identity of the deceased once the family has been notified.
