Man fatally shot in northeast Las Vegas

Updated May 10, 2021 - 1:41 pm

Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot in northeast Las Vegas on Sunday evening.

Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Richard Meyers said officers were called to the 3200 block of Lava Avenue around 5:40 p.m. in response to reports that a man had been shot.

The officers found a man with a gunshot wound inside a house in the neighborhood, Meyers said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Las Vegas Fire Department.

Police believe there was an altercation inside the house that led to the man being shot and killed, according to a Monday news release. As of Monday afternoon, no arrests had been made in the case.

The person killed will be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
