Man jailed in connection with east valley homicide

Updated April 5, 2023 - 11:14 am

A 27-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection with the shooting death of a Henderson man who was attending an east Las Vegas party.

Kyle Zindler, 25, was at a party early Sunday morning in the 4800 block of East Tropicana Avenue when a man opened fire on him following a fight among neighbors, according to an arrest report from the Metropolitan Police Department released Wednesday.

A witness said he asked his neighbor, Geontay Bolden Jr., to move his black BMW X3 out of the spot the witness’ wife was going to park in later. Bolden moved his car, the witness told police, and drove off.

He returned to the complex 10 minutes later, and Zindler’s wife told police, Bolden opened fire on them, according to the arrest report.

Police said Bolden ran off after the shooting and was arrested the next day outside his family’s home at the Simmons Manor Apartments.

He refused to speak to police, according to the arrest report. Bolden is being held without bail and expected to appear in court again Thursday.
