Metro investigating ‘suspicious’ death in central Las Vegas Valley

Las Vegas police are investigating the suspicious death of a man found in the central Las Vegas Valley on Sunday night.

The Metropolitan Police Department responded at about 5 p.m. to a residence at 2213 Sunnyslope Avenue, near Eastern and Hacienda avenues.

The death is being considered suspicious because of the manner in which the body was found and the scene inside the residence, Metro officer Michael Rodriguez said.

Metro’s homicide sergeant responded to the scene.

Police are waiting for the Clark County coroner to determine the cause and manner of death before proceeding with the investigation, Rodriguez said.

The coroner will release the man’s identity once family has been notified.
