Police investigate downtown Las Vegas homicide

Las Vegas police were investigating a homicide in downtown Las Vegas early Monday.

Lt. David Gordon said detectives were called to an area near 1st Street and Palm Lane at 12:43 a.m. for the shooting of a man found in the road in the 100 block of Palm Lane. The victim was rushed to University Medical Center where he died.

The Clark County coroner’s office on Monday afternoon identified the man killed as Brian Ramsey, 33. He died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Police provided no information as to why they think Ramsey was shot or whether authorities had identified any suspects.
