Police seek suspects in early morning slaying in northeast Las Vegas

A man was shot and killed early Wednesday in northeast Las Vegas, police said.

The Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement Wednesday afternoon that they received a call around 12:41 a.m. reporting that a man had been shot in front of an apartment complex on the 3500 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard. Police said an officer with the North Las Vegas Police Department was also in the area and heard the shots.

The North Las Vegas officer found a man lying in the road with a gunshot wound, police said. He died at the scene.

The man will be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Police had not identified a suspect or a motive as of Wednesday afternoon.
