Las Vegas police on scene at barricade in east valley

Las Vegas police were on the scene of a barricade at an east valley apartment complex for more than six hours Saturday night.

Metropolitan Police Department officers responded at 4:42 p.m. to Prime Apartments in the 3800 block of Cambridge Street. Police believe a wanted person tied to an ongoing investigation is inside a residence there, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Frank Humel said Saturday night.

Evacuations were conducted at the apartment complex and SWAT had taken over negotiations, Humel said at about 10 p.m.
