Las Vegas police responded to a barricade situation in the downtown area early Monday morning.

A SWAT team arrived at Lamplighter Motel at 2805 Fremont Street at about 6 a.m. and arrested one person police said was involved in a robbery.

A Las Vegas man indicted in a scheme to steal $7 million in U.S. Treasury checks in Utah was arrested over the weekend in Lyon County, Nevada, a federal prosecutor said Monday.
