2 teens arrested, 2 sought after Las Vegas robbery, car chase

Police took two teenagers in custody and were searching for two others after a robbery and car chase early Thursday in the northwest Las Vegas Valley.

A convenience store clerk reported about 4:15 a.m. that four people stole candy and soda from the Town Center Grocery at 1571 N. Buffalo Drive, near Vegas Drive, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon said.

The suspects fled the scene in a 2014 Mercedes four-door sedan that was later found to have been reported stolen in Henderson, he said.

Gordon said a patrol vehicle spotted the Mercedes in a residential area and engaged in a brief pursuit before it stopped and three males bailed out.

Police arrested a female teenager who remained in the car and a 19-year-old man was later arrested about a block away, Gordon said.

Police set up a perimeter and searched the area with K-9 units but didn’t find the other two males.

A vehicle in the neighborhood sustained minor damage when the stolen car rolled into it, Gordon said.
