Armed man robs taco shop in west valley, Las Vegas police say

A man armed with a handgun robbed a Roberto’s Taco Shop in the west Las Vegas Valley early Wednesday morning, police said.

An employee at the 24-hour taco shop at 907 S. Rainbow Blvd., near Charleston Boulevard, reported the robbery just after 3:30 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department said.

An armed black man entered the business with a firearm and demanded money from the register, police said.

This incident has similarities to another robbery under investigation, but a connection has not yet been established, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.
