Las Vegas police looking for 2 suspects in June robbery

Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects in a convenience store robbery last month.

On June 9, two men entered a business in the 4600 block of Russell Road and proceeded to a cooler where one of them loaded a backpack with drinks and snacks, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

When the men approached the counter, one of them produced a folding knife and demanded money from the registers, police said. The other man placed the backpack on the counter and the clerk loaded money from both registers into it.

The men left the store in an unknown direction, police said.

Both men were wearing hooded sweatshirts “fastened tightly around their faces,” Metro said. They were described as in their 20s.

The first suspect was a white man between 5-feet-1-inch and 5-feet-6-inches tall with unknown hair color and blue eyes. He was wearing a gray or faded black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

The second suspect was a white man about 6 feet tall. He was wearing gloves, a black hooded sweatshirt, red baseball cap, black pants and black shoes. He had a black backpack with a tan leather bottom.

Anyone with information regarding this incident can call Metro’s robbery section at 702-828-3591.
