Man robs Jack in the Box in southeast Las Vegas

A man robbed a southeast valley fast-food restaurant at gunpoint Thursday night.

The armed man walked into the Jack in the Box at 3311 S. Nellis Blvd., near Desert Inn Road, about 8 p.m., Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Mike Bechler said.

Once inside, he pointed his gun at one cashier’s face and demanded money. He made off with an unknown amount of cash and drove from the scene.

As of 9:30 p.m. police had not yet released a description of the man or his vehicle. It’s unclear how many people were inside the restaurant at the time of the robbery, but Belcher said at least two clerks were working the front counter.

No one was injured.
