Police asking for public’s help to find Las Vegas Strip robbery suspect

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect involved in a robbery on the Strip.

On Aug. 3, a man entered an unspecified department store at the Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian at 3377 Las Vegas Blvd. South and threatened to shoot an employee if he was not given money, the Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a taxi, police said. No injuries were reported.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his 40s, about 5-foot-9 and weighing about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, gray shorts and black shoes.
