Police investigating robbery at Walmart in east Las Vegas

Las Vegas police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a Walmart near Tropicana and Pecos avenues.

Four people fled in a vehicle about 10 a.m. at 3075 E. Tropicana Ave. before officers arrived, the Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement.

Multiple people reported that the masked robbers armed with handguns demanded money from employees, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.

An investigation showed that the robbers arrived in a light-colored newer model four door sedan, which was left parked in front of the store during the robbery, Metro said.
