Police looking for suspect in northwest Las Vegas armed robbery

Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect involved in an armed robbery in the northwest valley earlier this month.

On Aug. 3, a man threatened an employee with an unspecified weapon at a business near Sky Pointe Drive and Ranch House Road, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

“The suspect stole merchandise from the business and left in an unknown type of vehicle,” Metro said in a news release.

No one was injured during the incident, police said.

Metro described the suspect as a white or Hispanic, between 18 and 24 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing between 130 to 140 pounds.

The man had tattoos on his right forearm and the back of his right shoulder. He was last seen wearing a gray tank top with dark shorts and dark shoes with white trim, according to the release.
