Robber hits woman with bottle in downtown Las Vegas

Las Vegas police are searching for a man who struck a woman with a beer bottle during a robbery near Cashman Center.

About 6 a.m. Friday the man approached the woman on the street at 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North and demanded her property, according to Metropolitan Police Lt. Daniel Alvarado.

When the woman refused, the man hit her over the head with a bottle and grabbed her backpack before running off, Alvarado said. The woman didn’t have any visible injuries, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
