1 in critical condition after shooting in central Las Vegas Valley

One man is in critical condition as Las Vegas police investigate a Saturday night shooting.

Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds about 8:30 p.m. on the 800 block of West Lake Mead Boulevard, near H Street.

The victim “wasn’t breathing” when officers arrived, Metro Lt. Grant Rogers said. He was transported in critical condition to the University Medical Center trauma unit.

No other details were immediately available. It’s unknown what led to the shooting.
