3 shot at apartment complex dog park in southwest Las Vegas

Three people were shot early Monday at a dog park within a southwest valley apartment complex.

The shooting happened about 7:10 a.m. Monday at the Chapel Hill apartment complex, 9620 W. Russell Road, near South Fort Apache Road, Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.

The people shot were taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit with gunshot wounds that weren’t life-threatening.

Meltzer said the shooting may have broken out after an argument. The three shot haven’t been cooperative with police, and detectives believe the suspect may have known the victims.

As of Monday afternoon, police had named neither a motive nor suspect.
