Las Vegas police look for child who fired shotgun at adults

Updated December 18, 2017 - 3:52 am

Las Vegas police are searching for a child who fired a shotgun at a group of people Sunday night in the southwest valley.

The shooting was reported about 11:30 p.m. at a home on Laramie Avenue, near West Robindale Road and South Rainbow Boulevard, Metropolitan Police Lt. David Gordon said.

A woman and two male friends were at her ex-boyfriend’s home on Laramie for a custody exchange, Gordon said, when the ex-boyfriend’s 12-year-old brother confronted the group with a shotgun.

The boy shot once into the ground. One man was injured when his foot was struck by a pellet or birdshot, but he refused medical treatment, Gordon said.

No one else was injured during the exchange, and police are searching for the 12-year-old boy.
