Man shot, killed by employee after asked to leave Henderson property

Authorities say a man was shot and killed Thursday morning in Henderson.

According to the Henderson Police Department, at about 10:04 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to the 200 block of West Warm Springs Road in reference to a shooting.

In a news release Friday, Henderson police said detectives determined that a 25-year-old man was in an argument with a 29-year-old employee.

Police say the victim had been sprayed with pepper spray and asked to leave the property. However, the argument continued and the employee discharged multiple rounds from his firearm and struck victim.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to police.

The release states that the employee who discharged his firearm remained on scene and is cooperative with the investigation.

“Detectives are investigating this as a homicide,” Henderson police noted.

The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s office.

Police did not identify the type of business in which the shooting took place.

No further information was provided.
