Man shot during robbery Wednesday outside home in southeast Las Vegas

A man was shot at after he was robbed while leaving a residence in the southeast valley Wednesday morning, Las Vegas police said.

Just before 4:30 a.m., a man was leaving a house at 5291 Simpson Drive, near Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue, when three men got out of a light-colored four-door vehicle and threw him to the ground, Metro Lt. David Gordon said. They took his wallet and fired several rounds at him.

The man was injured on his hip, Gordon said, but it was unclear if the injury came from a bullet that may have grazed him or from being thrown to the ground. The man was treated and released by medical personnel at the scene.

No arrests have been made in the case, Gordon said.

“All the suspects are outstanding,” he said
