Man shot three times near downtown Las Vegas

A woman was taken into custody after a man was shot Saturday morning at an apartment complex in the central valley, Las Vegas police said.

The man was shot about 9 a.m. after a fight at the Somerset Commons Apartments complex at 2775 Fremont St., near Charleston Boulevard, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Grant Rogers said.

The man was shot three times, then drove himself to a nearby strip mall on Charleston. From there, he was taken to University Medical Center, Rogers said.

A woman is in custody in connection with the shooting, Rogers said.
