Man shot, wounded in leg in central Las Vegas

Updated September 21, 2017 - 1:22 am

Las Vegas police were investigating a shooting late Wednesday in the central Las Vegas Valley.

The shooting was called in at 11:11 p.m. Police found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the right leg in the 800 block of North 24th Street, near East Washington and North Eastern avenues, according to Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon.

Gordon said the man was at his cousin’s house to pick up some tools and phone equipment. He left the house and returned three minutes later with a gunshot wound.

A neighbor told police he heard a single gunshot, looked out his window and saw the man limping toward his cousin’s house, Gordon said.

The shooter remained at large early Thursday.
