North Las Vegas Police investigate homicide near courthouse

North Las Vegas police officers responding to a report of gunfire early Sunday morning found a 24-year-old man shot to death inside a home on the 2400 block of Page Street.

Police responded to the report at about 12:30 a.m., said Ann Cavaricci, North Las Vegas police public information officer. When they arrived, Cavaricci said, they found the man dead inside a home. There were no other reports of injuries, she said.

A preliminary investigation indicates a verbal disagreement involving multiple people outside the residence occurred prior to the shooting, Cavaricci said.

There are no suspects in custody at this time, but the shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence, Cavaricci said.

Anyone with additional information is urged to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111, or contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
