A man who was stabbed in the throat at an east valley apartment complex Thursday night was trying to protect a woman who was being beaten by another man, Las Vegas police said.
Officers responded to the Siegel Suites at 4823 Boulder Highway, near Flamingo Road, about 9:25 p.m. Thursday.
Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said the man who was stabbed was an employee of the apartment complex. He saw another man beating a woman in the parking lot and tried to intervene. The other man then stabbed the employee in the throat.
Meltzer said the employee’s injuries were not life-threatening. She said a suspect has been identified, but police have not released the suspect’s name. No arrests had been made as of 11 a.m. Friday.
