Man arrested after stabbing on Las Vegas Strip near MGM Grand

A man was stabbed on the pedestrian bridge between New York-New York and the MGM Grand late Tuesday.

The stabbing happened about 11:15 p.m. and stemmed from an argument between two men, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon said.

As the men argued, one whipped out a knife and “started swinging it,” Gordon said, cutting the other man. As of 11:45 p.m. a suspect was in custody.

The man who was sliced up was taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit with what appeared to be nonlife-threatening injuries, Gordon said.

The suspect was also hospitalized for nonlife-threatening injuries, but it’s unclear what type of wounds he had sustained.

It’s unclear if the men knew each other, and it’s unclear if they were from Las Vegas.
